Happy Mother's Day |
To all the women who help make my life meaningful. Time passes. Life happens. Distance seperates. Children grow up. Jobs come and go. Love waxes and wanes. Men don't do what they're supposed to do. Hearts break. Parents die. Colleagues forget favors. Careers end. But...Sisters are there, no matter how much time and how many miles are between you. A girlfriend is never farther away than needing her can reach. When you have to walk that lonesome valley and you have to walk it by yourself, the women in your life will be on the valley's rim, cheering you on, praying for you, pulling for you, intervening on your behalf, and waiting with open arms at the valley's end. Sometimes, they will even break the rules and walk beside you...Or come in and carry you out. Girlfriends, daughters, granddaughters, daughters-in-law, sisters-in-law, Mothers, Grandmothers, aunties, nieces, cousins, and extended family, all bless our life! The world wouldn't be the same without women, and neither would I. When we began this adventure called womanhood, we had no idea of the incredible joys or sorrows that lay ahead. Nor did we know how much we would need each other. Every day we need each other still...Author unknown ************* I got this from my sister-in-law and it was so special I wanted to share it with you. So, to all you mother's, this is for you. I hope you have a great day! |

I've Been Tagged |
By my good buddy Samara King. So, here are the Rules. 1. Each player starts with eight random facts/habits about themselves. 2. People who are tagged need to write their own blog about their eight things and post these rules. 3. At the end of your blog, you need to choose eight people to get tagged and list their names. (All's fair in Lurv and bloggin') 4. Don’t forget to leave them a comment telling them they’re tagged, and to read your blog. Okay....here goes Eight Random Things About Lyric 1. I can watch any Star Trek, Harry Potter, or Lord of the Rings movie over and over and over again....and not get bored. 2. I have a secret (well, not anymore)obsession with Shemar Moore. 3. The Young and the Restless is my favorite soap opera and I watch it all the time. 4. I love to eat raw peanut butter cookie dough. 5. I'm eating chili dogs tonight because I don't feel like cooking. 6. My favorite day of the week is Friday. 7. My favorite color is purple. So....who shall I tag...Jodie Becker, Eden Bradley, Amanda Brice, Ann Cory, Shelli Stevens, Nonny Morgan, R.G. Alexander, and Dayna Hart |

Sooooooooooo............ |
I'm in revision hell right now. I've never been in revision hell before. It's true. Is that a strange thing for a writer to say? Maybe, maybe not. I'm the type of writer who revises as she writes. I write. Then, I reread what I wrote and edit. The next day, I reread it and edit again. That's enough for me. When I'm completely done with the story, I do another read through and that's it. I don't leave it be for a few days or a week and then come back. When I'm done...I'm done. I guess I'm anal that way. Who knows?I think I already mentioned that I completed my BIAM project (four days ahead of time - yeah me!), but it's over the word count. E-Harlequin Spice only wants projects up to 15K...I was over by about 1300 words. So, I've been reading and tightening up..now, I'm down to about 15,900. I have a feeling that I'm going to be cutting into a couple of nice sex scenes. Ack! We'll see.My next projects to take me through the end of May is a re-write of It Takes A Thief and my Rune for Cobblestone, The Librarian Who Wore Stillettos. Thief has been rewritten twice already and it's just not working the way it is. So, I have a new idea for it and I'm going to work it in and see how it goes. The Librarian is a story I came up with a year ago, wrote the first 10 or so pages and now I need to finish it. I'm hoping to get both of these done by May 31st. If I can complete 1k each a day on both of these (I'm aiming for 20K on each), then it'll happen. But of course, life always seems to get in the way, but I'll keep positive that nothing major will be thrown at me.At least by the time "The End" comes - school will almost be out. June 1st - here I come. |
