Release Dates-Review-Hopeful New Sale |
Happy Friday everyone!Release DatesI have received release dates for both of the stories I sold to Cobblestone Press. I was really hoping for a July release date...but, that's ok, I'm still happy. One Week Stand will be released August 4th.Vindication: The Adventures of a Private Jane will be released September 1st. ReviewI've been agonizing on my first review...but here it is and I'm really happy about it. Euro-Reviews had this to say about "A Thin Line."Lyric James has written a fantastic love story! A Thin Line is a sweet short story that was tantalizing to read. The setting for A Thin Line is the absolute perfect place for anyone to fall in love in. Sam and Melodie are perfect for one another. They are both two intelligent African Americans on their way to success. I loved the little twist that Lyric reveals about Sam as an author. That was quite clever! It was wonderful to read how Sam and Melodie discovered that there is a thin line between love and lust. When love is real you have to give your all and fight for it. Lyric James proves that she has got what it takes to make it in the literary world. I recommend A Thin Line for your reading pleasure.Isn't that super! Now, I can relax. See the entire review here. Euro ReviewsHopeful New SaleI completed Sparks Fly today and sent it off to Cobblestone Press. However, I changed the title to "One Day At A Time." Wish me luck on another sale.Have a great 4th of July! Can't wait to take my girls to see the fireworks!!! :-) Lyric |

I Sold The Other One!! |
Wowza!! I sold the other one. Talk about an author on cloud nine. I.AM.FLOATING. This book is the first in a series entitled Adventures Of A Private Jane. The title is "Vindication." Here's a blurb for you to enjoy.P.I. Karyn Harris’ sister was killed in the line of duty and branded a rogue cop. She’s spent the last year grieving and trying to clear her sister’s name.Zechariah Washington, an ex-cop and law student, is there to help ease her pain, but he wants to be more than a shoulder to cry on. Then, an unexpected phone call sends the couple on a life-threatening search to find the clue that will vindicate her sister. Can Zechariah convince Karyn there's more to their relationship or will they both fall victim to the same people who murdered her sister?Of course, when I get a pub date, I'll let you know. Doing the happy dance!!Lyric |

I Sold One!!!! |
That's right people. "One Week Stand" is officially contracted to Cobblestone Press and I'm downright happy about it. Here's a blurb for you to enjoy.Jasmine Martin does not believe in happily ever after. However, her best friend is getting married and she promised to be her maid-of-honor. When she was in Las Vegas six months ago, Jasmine enjoyed a passionate one-night stand with a sexy doctor named Evan. After all what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas. Right?Well, thats all about to change when sexy Evan turns out to be her best friends cousin. When she sees Evan again, that one night stand turns into one-week. Evan Harris believes its fate that brought Jasmine back into his life again. Before the week is up, can Evan convince Jasmine they can turn their one-week stand into forever? When I get a release date, you will be the first to know.:-) Lyric |

Completion |
Remember that post I did a while back that said I loved it when a story really came together. Well, hot diggity dog, I'm a happy writer this weekend. Not only did I finish that story, I finished 2. Yep, can you say it with me..."2" "2" "2" "2".I am so happy with myself right now. I've finished them, edited them, and shipped (well..emailed) them off to Cobblestone Press and hopefully they'll agree to publish both of them.My tentatively titled trysts are called One Week Stand and the first in a three book series called Private Jane-Vindication. I'm still waiting on a release date for A Thin Line.I sent edits back to my editor this week, so, hopefully I'll hear something soon.I think I'm going to take a day to read those wonderful opening books from Cobb Press and then hop right back on the writing train on Monday. Whoohoo!!Lyric :-) |
