| I think I've mentioned before that I've been best friends with my friend Kim for over 17 years. Well, today her oldest turned 16 years old, and all I could think about was what my life was like when I was that age. What were my dreams? What did I want to be when I grew up? I also realized that he has his whole life in front of him. He's a very smart (straight A) student and wants to attend Duke University and major in Engineering. And in my heart of hearts, I know he'll succeed.His birthday also made me think about where I want to be in my life in the next 5, 10, 15 years. Will I have accomplished my dream of becoming a published (New York) author? Will the desire still be there? After all, one third of my life has already passed.
